How to Build an Alien Coil: Step-by-Step Guide for Vapers

What Is an Alien Coil?

An Alien coil is one of the most popular advanced coil builds in the vaping community. It is made by wrapping a thin outer wire around a fused, creating the distinctive textured pattern that increases the coil's surface area for enhanced flavor and vapor production.

Meet BOOSTER ALIEN

At Coil Expert Inc., the BOOSTER ALIEN is designed for versatility across RBA, RDA, and RTA setups. It delivers the characteristic Alien coil performance with responsive ramp-up, consistent heating, and excellent flavor and vapor production.

Whether you're building on an RBA, RDA, or RTA, BOOSTER ALIEN is made to provide a reliable and versatile rebuildable coil experience.

Step-by-Step: Building an Alien Coil

Using Coil Expert Meter Alien Dual-Core

Coil Expert Meter Alien Dual-Core is supplied as Alien wire by the meter, giving you the freedom to build your own coils according to your preferred diameter, wrap count, and resistance.

Unlike pre-built coils, the Meter Alien Dual-Core lets you build it your way—whether you're creating a single-coil or dual-coil setup for your RBA, RDA, or RTA.

Step 1: Prepare Your Wire

Cut the desired length of Coil Expert Meter Alien Dual-Core. Straighten the wire carefully and avoid unnecessary kinks that could affect the final coil.

Step 2: Wrap Your Coil

Choose your preferred coil diameter, such as 2.5mm or 3.0mm, and wrap the Alien wire evenly around your coil jig. The number of wraps is up to you and will determine the final resistance and coil size.

Step 3: Install Your Coil

Install your finished coil onto your RBA, RDA, or RTA. Secure the leads firmly and position the coil correctly above the airflow.

Step 4: Check Resistance

Before firing, always check the resistance using a reliable ohm reader or regulated device. Make sure the resistance is stable and suitable for your device and battery setup.

Step 5: Pulse and Adjust

Using a regulated device, start at a low power setting and gently pulse the coil. Carefully adjust the coil with ceramic tweezers if needed until it heats evenly.

Step 6: Wick Your Coil

Once the coil has cooled, insert your preferred cotton through the coil. Trim and position the cotton according to your deck, making sure it is not packed too tightly.

Step 7: Saturate and Build to Your Preference

Saturate the cotton thoroughly with e-liquid. Start at a lower power level and gradually increase until you find the performance you prefer.
